I will admit this was a good video, so please don't bash me for this comment, even though I know some of you children out there will try to.
I don't see how this is different from natural reactions. No offence but no normally intelligent person should have needed this video. Newborn babies know how to kick when they are laying down. Like I said natural reaction. You should have shown more advanced techniques. Sorry.

I agree, like I said in my comment above, this isn't anything special. Not that I am a rapist (I am a martial artist) but there are EASY ways to get around flailing legs. (I know this from grappling. The best defence, in my humble opinion, tuck your legs and roll to the side. Either that or deliver one enormous kick with both feet, to their face. It should be a violent snapping motion with your entire body, and should be more than enough.

clearly the video is meant to show women with no self defense experience that this simple technique is easy and effective , some victims go into panic mode and freeze instead of using some simple techniques,keep in mind to cover all senarios of a situation takes more than 2 min. i dont know this sensei and am just giving opinion respecfully

Good idea, but normally the rapist wouldn't fall down after the second easy kick. They fight and fight and fight along with the victim.

If it were me I'd use everything I got to beat the shit out of the person trying to attack me. I'd spit in his face, kick, punch, I'd use it all to kill the bastard

Well, good idea to try if in that particular position. But do not count on it beeing so easy. The rapist is probably quite persistant and if he comes in that position try to grab the legs and throw her legs out of harms way.

i guess this is okay. but don't let watching a video make you think you know self-defense. I study karate and have been to self-defense seminars. you hit a bag a dozen times or so. good luck remembering that!

This is a good video and all but come on people! There are men out there that are so big and shit they could easily hold your legs down. Not to mention some women sometimes go into shock when something like rape happens and they dont know what to do. My best answer?

This is ok, but most attackers will no doubt have a weapon. Few would go empty handed. The majority of the real time training should be with weapons.

Great Video.I know a lot of people think that the kicking is natural but i believe a womens first reaction would be to try to keep there cloths on probably reaching to pull there pants up.Not really thinking offense so the kicking to the face,groin,and mid chest is a great but dont forget the eye,and inner ear poking or scracthing.Most important thing for women is being aware that this could happen.

Good video, but if there was a stun gun or pepper spray nearby, she would have escape quicker. In today's world we must be ready to protect ourselves at all times. The whole thing could have been avoided if there had been a $10.00 door alarm on bedroom door. This would have prepared her to react much quicker.
Self defense products such as a stun gun or pepper sprays may not save our lives, but they can give you that "small window of opportunity to escape".

Great video...I teach womens self defense and have spent many years working on diferent techniques, while training in MA. This is only one in my arsenal. It is very important to realize that every situation is not the same and you should have many options to chose from. You can add this one to yours.
