ചരിത്രം സൃഷ്ടിച്ച കിന്നാരത്തുമ്പികള്‍ എന്ന ഷക്കീലച്ചിത്രത്തിലൂടെ സിനിമയിലെത്തിയ രേഷ്മ എണ്ണമറ്റ രതിച്ചിത്രങ്ങളിലെ നായികയായിരുന്നു. മലയാള സിനിമയില്‍ ടോപ്പ് ലെസ് തരംഗത്തിന് തുടക്കമിട്ടതും
രേഷ്മയാണ്.
ഷക്കീല, രേഷ്മ, സജിനി, മറിയ എന്നിവരുടെ രതിച്ചിത്രങ്ങള്‍ കേരളത്തിനകത്തും പുറത്തും ചരിത്രം സൃഷ്ടിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. പല വീഡിയോ ചിത്രങ്ങളും ഇവരുടെ പേരില്‍ വിപണിയിലുണ്ട്. ഷക്കീല ഇത്തരം ചിത്രങ്ങളിലെ അഭി�
��യം നിര്‍ത്തിയിരുന്നെങ്കിലും രേഷ്മയും സംഘവും ഇപ്പോഴും സജീവമാണ്.
One of the former leaders of soft-porn industry, Reshma, was arrested by the Kerala Police recently on charges of prostitution.
It was 'Kinnaara Thumbikal' that made Reshma a very well-known star in the soft-porn circle. While Shakeela and others stuck to only doing titillating scenes, it was Reshma who is considered a "pioneer"in upper frontal nudity in Malayalam softporn industry.
When the market for soft-porn began to collapse due to one scandal after the other, the likes of Shakeela, Maria and Reshma disappeared. Shakeela made a smart decision and switched to playing comedy and character roles in mainstream films. But nothing much was heard of about Reshma until now.
The Police in Kochi arrested Reshma along with five other people in connection with a prostitution ring that they had been operating. It was being carried out from a house that was taken for rent by them.
