This is simply an awesome song - reminds me of jaidev's older work in Mujhe jeene do. Incidently the lead pair was the same in the film too.
I didn't find anything even the least bit besura in this song. I sing this at every opportunity.

It was RESHMA AUR SHERA.Sunil Dutt's own production which did not do well at the box office .This was also Sanjay Dutts debu film as a child artist.He sits along with his father in a qawaali.Also Amitabh Bachchan had a small role in the film where he looked so lean and thin.Thats how i remember him.Rakhi was there too in a small but very powerful role.

why Indian women always singing like cat "miaw miaw" and men like "woww woww" and singing not with "normal voice" ? only once time I had listened an Indian song that singing by a woman with "normal voice", it was very nice

Indian songs are sung in a higher key than the western songs. This is why they sound operatic and require rigorous classical music training. Western songs are sung in the lower keys. This makes it easier to sing pop songs which most people can sing without any music training. Hence the ease of forming rock groups and quickly making a Top 20 hit song.
You must be born in the sub-continent to really appreciate this music.

I like ethnic music from overall, Indian too, but the singing style is not for me, now since any weeks I listen sometimes Pakistani music, because Paki music is for me a type of Indian Music with "normal voice", a normal-voice-music from Indian subcontinent which I searched for long time
